As announced back in April of 2016, The Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) decided after careful review and consideration, that it could not support the "Personal Care Products Safety Act," Bill (S. 1014) introduced by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and co-sponsored by Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), as it placed too large a burden on small business, did not provide reasonable National Uniformity, and would, if passed, stifle innovation in the cosmetics and personal care industry.
