Les Laboratoires Azbane
Mr. Azbane lost his father when he was only four years old. Being the oldest male in the family, the responsibility of taking care of his mother and younger siblings fell on him. When Mr. Azbane turned 13 he decided to move to Marrakech to work at a perfume shop. He eventually became the shop’s manager and his ambition for success grew from there. After years of hard work, Mr. Azbane moved in the early 70’s to Casablanca where he created his own company. Mr. Azbane is a native of Southwestern Morocco and while growing up he spent most of his time playing outside by the Argan trees and he always believed that this tree would be the source of his success. Les Laboratoires Azbane is the largest Moroccan family-run business in the well-being industry. For more than four decades, Azbane has dedicated his energy and expertise to offering personal care and hotel guest amenities products based on Argan oil. Through excellence and quality services Les Laboratoires Azbane has been a leader in the production of personal care and hotel guest amenities made from Argan oil.
Mr. Azbane started Les Laboratoires Azbane when he saw that there was a great demand for cosmetics in the hospitality market in Morocco and he wanted to achieve his childhood dream of founding a company with products based on Argan oil. Les Laboratoires Azbane has a motivated R&D team that keeps its pulse on the latest market needs and develops products to meet their clients’ needs. Mr. Azbane credits his company’s success to vision, passion, enthusiasm, hard work, and a strong management team. “The quality of our products has been superior since day one. Our clients matter to us so we build a durable relationship and we are always listening to them and seeking improvement”, said Azbane.
Today, Les Laboratoires Azbane exports to more than 50 countries. Their headquarters is located in Morocco with offices in Europe and the United States. The laboratory currently embraces more than 400 team members housed in over 30,000 square feet of state-of-the art lab and production space. Mr. Azbane’s short and long term goals for the company are to dominate the exportation of Argan oil and to expand their recently launched men’s grooming line in order to be worldwide beard experts. Mr. Azbane believes that men also deserve to have a little luxury in their grooming routine!
When asked about the relationship between Les Laboratoires Azbane and ICMAD Azbane said, “ICMAD is a large cosmetic organization with more than 800 companies. Our membership gives our company the opportunity to collaborate and work with these companies. In addition, we look to ICMAD to make sure we are following the right path and regulations to be able to sell our products in the United States. We also seek valuable guidance from ICMAD on topics such as product distribution.”
